About Square
Square is a technology corporation from the United States, a developer of fintech solutions for electronic payments. The most famous product of the company is the CashApp ecosystem application for accepting payments and transferring money between users, trading cryptocurrency and ETFs, as well as self-filing tax returns. Another ecosystem of the company is Seller. It is a set of tools for starting, developing and managing a business. The main activity of the company is the production of devices for processing payments by debit and credit cards. These are terminals and readers for contactless transactions, as well as cards with chips or magnetic stripes. In addition, the company produces iPad POS systems and fully integrated POS systems for any type of business.
Square has offices in the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland. However, about 97% of the revenue comes from the United States. The company's services are in demand among small businesses. About a quarter of transactions in the total flow are customers from the food and beverage sector, 16-17% each also accounts for retail trade and professional services.
What Affects the value of Square's Stocks
Square shares on the New York Stock Exchange have been available for purchase since November 2015. Then their price was at the level of $ 11.20 per unit, and by September 2018 it smoothly reached the level of $ 100.39. After a three-month downward correction, Square shares hit $ 49.82 per share. And until June 2020, they traded in the flat direction 42.33-89.25. Since then, quotes have begun to skyrocket, during which they reached a price of $ 283.19, setting an all-time high in February 2021.Square's stock price is sensitive to global factors such as:
- The demand for paper technology enterprises in the stock market. During a period of low interest rates and extensive quantitative easing programs, shares in this sector were in high demand and their prices were growing. But with the prospect of raising interest rates approaching and amid rising inflationary concerns, the tech sector will remain under pressure, and Square's stock price will decline.
- Square's share price also depends on how much the firm's developments are in demand. The pandemic has accelerated the spread of digital payments, so the corporation has good development prospects and its shares can grow.
Also, Square stock quotes can trade under the influence of:
- quarterly reports: the growth of revenue and profit indicators will support the quotes, while weaker-than-forecast data may put pressure on the price.
- growth in the number of clients of the corporation.
- the emergence of new solutions and developments.
There is one more factor that can now work both for and against. Against the background of the growing popularity of bitcoin and the demand for it from institutional investors, Square was also buying cryptocurrency. But after its recent decline, Jack Dorsey announced that he would no longer buy Bitcoin. Now corporations that hold digital coins on their balance sheets can react to their volatility. During periods of collapse of the crypto market, quotations of such securities also decrease.

Technical Analysis Square Stocks
Today we will take a look at Square Inc stocks. Jack Dorsey's company. In case you don't know who Jack Dorsey is, he is the founder of Twitter inc.
Technical Analysis Square $SQ Stocks:
I can see two clear structures here:
The previous impulse (which is a sequence of higher highs and higher lows) + The current major correction is a sequence of movements inside a constrained range. Ok, what is so special about that? Using Elliott Wave Theory, we can see the relationships between these two movements; one is a correction of the other one. And what Elliott concluded is that the next bullish impulse (IF it comes) will have kind of a relationship in terms of proportions with the previous impulse. That's why we use Fibonacci Extensions to define targets. Key Take away of this bullet point: The targets for a possible bullish movement are: 350 / 400 / 440
Now let's take a look into the current major correction: After 170 days below the previous high, we saw the breakout in August, after that the price has been correcting on edge (which is pretty standard, after the breakout of structures of this size) This minor correction has been on its range for almost 80 days.
Conclusions: IF (capital letters, conditional sentence) the price makes a new ATH , we will consider that as an activation level for the bullish view. Targets are the levels we mentioned before. Invalidation level will be below the minor correction at 218.00/ IF not the analysis is not valid (that simple)
The expected duration for a movement like this can go between 100 to 150 days
